Mr. Desai is the Portfolio Manager of 37 Capital’s Global TMT Long/Short Equity strategy. He launched bluescale with Putnam when he joined the firm in 2012 and has been investing in the TMT industry since 1997.
Prior to joining Putnam, Mr. Desai was a Partner at Crosslink Capital from 2009 to 2012, where he was responsible for long/short investments in technology and information services. Prior to Crosslink, he was an Analyst at Tudor Investment Corp/Raptor Capital Management from 2004 to 2009, focused on global long/short investments across technology and information services, and a Senior Associate at Thoma Bravo from 1999 to 2003, focused on private equity investments across software and information services. Mr. Desai began his career as a Financial Analyst in the Global TMT Group of Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking Division from 1997 to 1999. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from Duke University.
Michael V. Salm
Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income
Mr. Salm is the Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income at Putnam and the Portfolio Manager of 37 Capital’s Structured Credit strategies. He is responsible for the overall strategy and positioning of Putnam’s fixed income portfolios and oversees Putnam’s trading operations and fixed income quantitative teams. He is also a Portfolio Manager of Putnam's Core Global, Core Plus, Global Government, Fixed Income Global Alpha, Dedicated Mortgage, and Ultra Short Duration Income strategies. Mr. Salm joined Putnam in 1997 and has been in the investment industry since 1989.
Prior to joining Putnam, Mr. Salm was a Mortgage Specialist at BlackRock Financial Management from 1996 to 1997; a Vice President and Trader at Nomura Securities from 1994 to 1996; a Vice President and Structurer at Nikko Securities from 1993 to 1994; and an Analyst at Fitch Investor Services from 1991 to 1992. He began his investment career as an Analyst at Security Pacific Bank and Bankers Trust from 1989 to 1991. Mr. Salm earned a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
Scott M. D'Orsi, CFA
Mr. D'Orsi leads 37 Capital's team and strategies focused on leveraged loans and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). In addition, he is a Portfolio Manager in Putnam's Fixed Income group. Mr. D'Orsi joined 37 Capital in 2021 and has been in the investment industry since 1990.
Prior to joining 37 Capital, Mr. D'Orsi was a Managing Director, CLO Portfolio Manager, and Head of Liquid Loans at First Eagle Investment Management, where he launched the CLO business of its predecessor company, from 2004 to 2020. Previously, he served in high-yield bond sales at Spear Leeds & Kellogg from 2003 to 2004 and was an Executive Director, High-Yield Capital Markets, at CIBC World Markets from 1999 to 2003. Earlier, Mr. D'Orsi was a Vice President and Director, High-Yield Capital Markets, at BancBoston Securities from 1997 to 1999 and a Portfolio Manager, Asset-Based Lending, at Bank of Boston from 1994 to 1996. He began his career as a Credit Analyst and Portfolio Manager, Asset-Based Lending, at Fleet Financial Group from 1990 to 1994. Mr. D'Orsi earned an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.

Prior to joining 37 Capital, Mr. Newton served as a Director, Senior Credit Analyst, at First Eagle Private Credit Advisors from 2014 to 2020. Previously, he was a Vice President, Senior Credit Analyst, at Citizens Financial Group from 2013 to 2014; a Director, Sales and Client Relations, at Social Finance from 2012 to 2013; and an Assistant Vice President, Credit Analyst, at Eaton Vance Management 2004 to 2010. Mr. Newton began his career as an Analyst at Banc of America Securities from 2002 to 2004. Prior to joining 37 Capital, Mr. Vander Mel was a Managing Director, Senior Analyst, at First Eagle Private Credit Advisors, where he specialized in broadly syndicated loan CLOs from 2013 to 2020. Previously, he was a Director, U.S. Credit, at Knight Capital from 2010 to 2013; a Senior Vice President, Credit Sales and Trading, at FBR Capital from 2009 to 2010; and an Executive Director, Special Situations, at Morgan Stanley from 2004 to 2009. Earlier, he served at Fleet Securities as a Director, Loan Trading, from 2001 to 2004, and as a Director and Underwriter, Acquisition Finance, from 1996 to 2000. Ms. May is Head of Global Institutional Management. She oversees Putnam’s institutional asset management business, which serves investors and clients in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In addition, she is Chief Operating Officer of 37 Capital, where she is responsible for strategic planning, product development, and operations. Ms. May joined Putnam in 2019 and has been in the investment industry since 1997.
Prior to joining Putnam, Ms. May held a variety of leadership roles at Apollo Global Management, which included Chief Operating Officer, Head of Structuring and Product Creation, and Product Specialist within the Global Client and Product Solutions group, from 2010 to 2019. Prior to Apollo, she was the Chief Operating Officer of Citi Property Investors from 2004 to 2010 and an Associate in the Strategy and Business Development Group at Citigroup from 2002 to 2004. Ms. May began her career as a Financial Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group of Salomon Smith Barney’s Investment Banking Division from 1997 to 2000. She earned an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Genetics, Cell, and Developmental Biology from Dartmouth College.
Anthony Nazar de Jaucourt

Mr. Nazar de Jaucourt is Director of Marketing for 37 Capital. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives for 37 Capital's alternative investment products and strategies. Mr. Nazar de Jaucourt joined 37 Capital in 2020 and has been in the investment industry since 2001.
Prior to joining 37 Capital, Mr. Nazar de Jaucourt served as a senior member of J.P. Morgan’s Capital Introduction Group from 2014 to 2019, guiding global hedge fund clients in their fundraising efforts, marketing, and business strategies. He also advised global investors on their hedge fund allocations. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Nazar de Jaucourt led the fundraising and client relations effort at Atreaus Capital, a New York-based hedge fund. Prior to these roles, he held manager selection and portfolio management responsibilities at two fund of hedge funds (Antarctica Asset Management from 2009 to 2012 and Reliance International from 2004 to 2009) and a family office (Endevon Capital from 2003 to 2004). Mr. Nazar de Jaucourt began his career in the Equity Capital Markets group at Rothschild & Co. in Paris, France, in 2001. He earned a B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Nazar de Jaucourt is fluent in French and Spanish.
Anthony L. Humeniuk, CPA
Mr. Humeniuk is Controller of 37 Capital. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for 37 Capital’s alternative investment funds and strategies. Mr. Humeniuk joined 37 Capital in 2020 and has been in the investment industry since 2006.
Prior to joining 37 Capital, Mr. Humeniuk was a Senior Manager, Global Finance/Corporate Development at Boston Consulting Group from 2017 to 2020, a Fund Controller at HarbourVest Partners from 2015 to 2017, and a Senior Manager, Assurance and Advisory Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2006 to 2015. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Ryan E. Powers
Client Service Manager
Mr. Powers is the Client Service Manager for 37 Capital. He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective investors, creating materials for product offerings, and managing all client inquiries. Mr. Powers joined 37 Capital in 2021 and has been in the investment industry since 2010.
Prior to joining 37 Capital, Mr. Powers led alternative asset fundraise mandates at Probitas Partners, a private placement advisory firm, from 2012 to 2019. Prior to this role, he was an Associate at Cappello Capital, where he provided support for M&A transactions and private placement mandates from 2010 to 2012. Earlier, he served as a project manager and design engineer for several consulting firms in Northern California. Mr. Powers earned an M.B.A. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

Mr. Mahmood is a Senior Alternatives Associate of 37 Capital. He focuses on the group’s business development and client service. Mr. Mahmood joined 37 Capital in 2018 and has been in the investment industry since 2013.
Prior to joining 37 Capital, Mr. Mahmood was an Associate at BlackRock, where he was responsible for the firm’s hedged credit product strategies. His previous experience also includes marketing and investor relations roles at Hutchin Hill Capital Management from 2017 to 2018, Balyasny Asset Management from 2016 to 2017, and Och-Ziff Capital Management from 2015 to 2016. Mr. Mahmood began his career as an Investor Relations Analyst in the Alternative Investments Group of Morgan Stanley from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Mahmood earned his B.A. in Economics from Fordham University.
